Holiday Ornament Design Concept
As the New Year Approaches, the Magic Begins
Every year, we wait for the chime of midnight—ready to make a wish and believe in a little miracle again. The Beautiful Children in a Beautiful World foundation launched the Kindness Ornament campaign to let everyone feel a bit like a holiday wizard. And our studio developed the design concept for the 2023 edition of the ornaments. The foundation helps children with craniofacial conditions and supports nature reserves and national parks across Russia. We created a series of illustrations representing these efforts and brought them to life on festive ornaments—each one crafted from corrugated cardboard with selective UV varnish accents.
Two Sides of the Same Gift
Out of the many animals protected and supported by the foundation, we chose three as symbols: the brown bear, the Amur tiger, the reindeer. And for the final ornament—a rare, mythical creature that lives only within the walls of our studio: a whimsical red-hatted dragon. On the reverse side of each ornament: smiling children dressed in matching animal costumes, surrounded by the classic symbols of winter—snowdrifts and snowmen. Each person could pick their own spirit animal for the tree—and choose the costume that best reflected their character.
Is It Easy to Gift a Miracle?
We believe that mindful participation in social campaigns should become a shared habit—not just within business, but for everyone. The campaign ran from November 2023 to January 2024. Ornaments were available at the checkout counters of M.Video and Eldorado retail stores. All proceeds from sales were donated to the foundation. And we believe: these ornaments didn’t just decorate holiday trees—they helped bring real wonder to those who needed it most.
